But it's not just the stars that make you say "wow" in this hobby; there is some really cool gear, and learning about it can be fascinating.

We're here to help you do just that! Especially if you're a beginner, we encourage you to come to the store and see the various types of telescopes in person. We'd be happy to answer all your questions and help you find the best match for your needs. We truly enjoy introducing people to astronomy!

We carry all kinds of telescopes

Probably the two most common types of telescopes are refractors and reflectors. A third "hybrid" type - called catadioptric - employs elements of both refractors and reflectors. We also offer various types of mounts which are an essential component of a telescope set-up. Please give us a call or stop by the store if you have any questions.

Refractors

Refractors use an objective lens to magnify the image. Check out our selection of refractors.

Newtonian Reflectors

Reflectors use a mirror set in the optical tube, rather than a lens. They are available in much larger apertures than refractors. Check out our selection of reflectors.

Catadioptric Telescopes

These hybrids combine elements of both refractors (lens) and reflectors (mirror) providing high performance in a small package. Check out our selection of catadioptric telescopes.

Mounts
