The new APM 140mm f/7 Apo impresses with its high performance. We have now succeeded in developing this telescope with high-quality optics and a solid tube at a sensational price. The new 140mm f=980mm SD Apo has doublet optics with SD glass, one lens of which is made of FPL-53. That brings maximum performance. This new, innovative combination results in a color correction that is well above what is usual in this price category. In order to guarantee the typically high quality of APM telescopes, every optic undergoes an interferometric test.

The instrument is supplied with a solid 3.7" focuser. The focuser is particularly well suited for heavy accessories and offers an absolutely vignetting-free image even with large-format chips. With a focal length of 980mm, the 140mm SD-Apo is a real all-rounder. Observation from closely spaced double stars with high contrast to detailed planetary observations will be a lot of fun with this device.In addition, this new apochromat is quite light at only 9.8kg and can be used on compact mounts.

As an optional photo accessory for the SD APO 140mm f/7, we recommend our Riccardi Flattener APO Reducer 0.75xM82 (the focal length is reduced here to 735mm at f/5.25) or our Riccardi APO Flattener Model 2 for APOs. (see recommended accessories)
